                     from about 1958. Retired 1988, but as no replacement was
                     appointed, she continues to curate and add to the
                     collection.

Additional Info.  :  the main part of the collection consists of: lepidoptera 48
                     drawers (see e. s. lewis collection also), coleoptera 6
                     drawers, 24 store boxes, hymenoptera 6 drawers of sawflies
                     and 9 of other families, diptera 27 boxes, other british
                     groups 27 drawers and foreign material 45 store boxes, 36
                     cabinet drawers. it is intended by the university (who own
                     the collection) that it will be passed on to the national
                     museum of wales when the collector is no longer able to care
                     for it. this is the largest collection of this type in north
                     wales.
